33 Bottles of Beer: Fresh Hop Edition

A Beer Journal for Hop-Forward Beers

Pocket-sized Beer Journal

Living in the Pacific Northwest, hoppy beer is a way of life. As I sipped a pint of fragrant and fresh IPA last summer, I began to wonder what a beer journal designed exclusively for use with hoppy beers might look like.

33 Beers: Fresh Hop Edition is a just-picked variant of my standard beer journal focused on documenting hoppy beers. Like all my books, it's packaged in a small, convenient notebook format, but this one is bound with green staples and a snazzy green cover. It’s designed for hopheads, by a hophead.

Designed for Speed

It’s tough to hold a notepad in one hand, a pencil in the other, and have another hand left for your hazy IPA. Taking notes with 33 Beers: Fresh Hop Edition is as simple as checking a few boxes and entering a few basic facts.

Hoppy Beer Flavor Wheel

The hop-focused flavor wheel in 33 Beers can be used to quickly recall a beer’s unique flavor long after consumption. For low values of the flavor, fill in dots near the wheel’s center. A fresh hop IPA is used in the example shown.

Secret Ingredient

A teeny, tiny amount of real beer is added to the ink in each new edition, which is cryptically noted on the back.

It Ain't Easy Being Green

33 Beers is made with 100% recycled papers sourced in the Pacific Northwest. Interior pages are 100% post-consumer recycled content and covers are 85% post-consumer recycled content and 15% recycled content. The booklets are printed using US-grown soy-based inks (and a little bit of hoppy beer) in sunny Portland, Oregon.
