This tinned fish journal is designed for ease of use. It’s tough to hold a notepad in one hand, a pencil in the other, and have another hand left for opening your next tin of sardinhas. Taking notes with 33 Tins of Fish is as simple as checking a few boxes and entering a few basic facts.

The flavor wheel in 33 Tins of Fish can be used to quickly recall a tin's unique flavor long after consumption. For low values of a particular flavor, fill in dots near the wheel’s center. A Portuguese spiced mackerel in olive oil is used in the example shown.

My Love Language is Fish

Much of tinned fish production occurs in countries whose official language is not English. Thus, interpreting a label can be somewhat challenging. Thankfully, the inside front cover of 33 Tins includes a helpful table translating some of the most common sea creatures' names into Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French! Buono!

Secret Ingredient

A teeny, tiny amount of real tinned fish is infused into the ink in each new edition, which is cryptically noted on the back.
