How to Cut the Cheese Letterpress Print

Cheese Bored No More

If you've been on social media in the last few years, you'll know that cheese boards are having a moment. Beautifully arranged slices of fromage flowing across wondrous walnut boards at amazingly attractive angles. Why? Goudas Get Likes. Camemberts coax comments. Fromage = followers.

But I think the simpler reason is that cheese boards can be amazing - they say we eat with our eyes first, and a well-made cheese board attracts diners like a moth to flame. And if you'd like to step up your #cheeseboard game, I've got the print for you.

How to Cut the Cheese is a frameable 11 x 14 inches (28 x 36 cm), perfect for hanging in your cheese cave or kitchen. It demonstrates how to portion four of the most common cheese types into beautifully snackable, super-stackable portions for your next cheese board.

A Collaboration with the Mobile Monger

If you've ever met me at an event, there's a good chance you have also met my friend Janee – she's a amazing person but she is also a cheese genius. She's been cutting, wrapping, selling and loving cheese in the Pacific Northwest for 20+ years. When I first imagined this print, I knew exactly the person to work with to bring it to life. You should definitely subscribe to her podcast and follow her on the 'Gram.

Cheese Art in Frame

Barrel-Finished and -Framed

This print is available in a bespoke frame manufactured by yours truly from upcycled whiskey and/or wine barrels. Each one is a bit different, and makes for a great conversation starter. With this option, prints are matted and secured behind an archival, USA-made mat and backerboard and postman-proof UV-resistant acrylic sheet.

Please note that barrel frames cannot be shipped to Australia or New Zealand due to import restrictions on wood products.

Fresh-Pressed in Portland

This open-edition print was printed by hand, with love, on a 1909 Chandler & Price letterpress using soy-based inks.

American-made French Paper

The poster is printed on 100% recycled (30% PCW), chlorine-free French brand paper, made in Niles, Michigan. If you're as big a paper geek as you are a cheese geek, you'll want to know that it's 80# Dur-O-Tone in Newsprint Extra White Cover Stock.
