Classic Bourbon Cocktails Print
America's Spirt, Mixed
Bourbon has been described as America's spirit. That may be because by law, you can't call it bourbon if it isn't made here, but I digress.* Similarly, cocktails are an essentially American invention.** I decided to combine the two in one attractive print, celebrating nine of my favorite pre-1950 bourbon cocktails.
Classic Bourbon Cocktails is a frameable*** 11 x 14 inch (28 x 36 cm) guide to creating nine classic bourbon cocktails, distilled into a simple, attractive print that's perfect for hanging in your home bar or kitchen. I'll drink to that!
It's décor for the discriminating drinker and suits nearly any style. It makes a perfect pairing with my bourbon-tasting notebook, 33 Whiskeys.
Fresh-Pressed in Portland
This open-edition print was printed by hand, with love, on a gluten-powered Vandercook letterpress using mostly soy-based inks.
American-made French Paper
The poster is printed on 100% recycled (30% PCW), chlorine-free French brand paper, made in Niles, Michigan. If you're as big a paper nerd as you are a cocktail nerd, you'll want to know that it's 80# Dur-O-Tone in Newsprint Extra White Cover Stock.
* And made of at least 51% corn, and aged in a new, charred-oak barrel and aged at least four years ... for a country whose brand is freedom, we have a lot of regulations about whiskey!
** Possibly because we were initially somewhat bad at making booze ... other ingredients covered up those mistakes.
*** Frame not included, but I got the wood frame shown at Target.com and it looks pretty nice!
